Built in 1931 as the headquarters of Kansas City Power & Light Company, this 36-story iconic landmark was known as the tallest building in Missouri for 50 years. Sparing no expense at the time of completion, this building boasts several signature features, including an exterior clad in Indiana limestone, a 21-foot exterior lantern equipped with floodlights portraying flame-like effects, a two-story grand lobby space with art deco ornamentation, marble, and granite interior finishes with custom plaster moldings and metalwork.
